Collaborative Summer Internship Program with University July 25 – 29
School emphasizes the collaboration work with our neighborhood university and the faculties. Empowerment Science Lab and Global Health Nursing, University of Tsukuba are those two groups we worked together this year. The faculty and the students offered a range of sessions – Adolescent Development was the basic theme of these workshops, and it covered multiple aspects such as: Cognitive development, social-emotional wellbeing, motivation, and healthy relationships with peers and parents. While the program is only open during the summer, it had been a great opportunity for our high school students to get a taste of the university-level classes.
Upon completion of this program, LIS high school students received the official certificate of participation from Department of Global Health Nursing, University of Tsukuba.
